The Science Faculty’s vision is to inspire an interest in science and to equip our students with the skills and knowledge that will maximise their opportunities and choices, in both further education and the world of work.  Our intention is for students to acquire a strong and broad knowledge base across all three science disciplines (biology, chemistry and physics), together with practical and problem-solving skills developed through scientific investigation.

Students’ scientific literacy will be nurtured, enabling them to decipher scientific texts and write in the academic style typical of scientific journals.

We aim to make science relevant, engaging and accessible to all students, so that they are equipped to understand the world around them, make informed decisions and enter a career in science if they choose to do so.
